  • Cut to: Tahira Joy of The Cut Life

    Tahira Joy believes that there’s power in the pivot. After an illustrious career in music PR, Tahira turned on her heels to become a successful influencer, entrepreneur, and Co-Founder of The Cut Life, a digital platform celebrating the short hair lifestyle.

    Knowing something was missing in her PR career, Tahira saw that there was also something missing in the influencer space - there was no representation for short-haired Black women. She stepped in to fill that gap, grew her Instagram account, and officially left her PR job the following year.

    Tahira has worked with Ludacris to promote his LudaDay Weekend concert events. She is also actively involved in the community as a volunteer for the non-profit Kamp Kizzy, founded by Actor and philanthropist Keshia Knight Pulliam. When speaking with Hosts HD, DJ Ace Star, and Brian Patrick Davis, she reminds us that it’s never too late to find a career that inspires you.     Tiffany has done custom sets for singer-songwriter Tweet, radio personality Angela Yee, DJ Brittany Sky, and many other industry stars. She is booked and in high demand by some of the biggest rising names in music, art and fashion - but before she started her own salon, she was a passionate young artist with a dream. 


    At just twelve years old, Tiffany created some of her first detailed nail designs with pieces of her mother’s broom. Before attending school as a Nail Technician, she walked up and down her street with a caboodle full of nail supplies, practicing on all who would let her.
