💡 "So lets talk about these Jordan 3 True Blues! Back in ‘88 I was a chubby middle schooler who needed some sort of physical activity. I fell in love with the Bulls and basketball, so I decided to try out for the basketball team. Thank goodness it was one of them teams that didn’t make cuts cuz your boi wasn’t exactly killing it on the court, but I wasn’t half bad either. I started getting some playing time and I wanted some new kicks to go with it. I begged my parents to get me some J’s and we went to the mall in Aurora to check em out. When I saw the True Blue in hand my young mind was blown! I held them and didn’t want to let em go. My parents didn’t have that kinda money so I went home broken hearted. My Mom tried to make up for it, bless her heart. She shows up at home with a pair of @britishknights that sorta looked like the J3. I get what she was thinking, but them ain’t J’s. I wore those BK Metro’s to school and before we had the ‘what are those?!!’ I was getting roasted all over. I didn’t have a strong hold on my emotions back in the day and I took a knife and some scissors to those BK’s and destroyed em. Ripped em to shreds so I wouldn’t have to put em on again. Yeah, the parents didn’t like that and told me any new sneakers I got I had to work for. So I got outta the house and went to the local grocery store and got a job. I lied about how old I was and they knew, but I got paid cash so all was good. I hated that job, got injured on that job and as soon as I had the money in my pocket for them True Blues I dipped out on that job. Got back to that mall and to my horror the J3’s didn’t exist anymore. I didn’t yet know about Supply and Demand. That money was burning a hole in my pocket so I got the Fire Red 4’s instead. I never cared for the 4’s and I lost one of them in a river on a canoe trip! It took 30 years to finally get those Blues!" - Joshua Zbinden
