Christopher Smith Talks Up2SumTV, Mental Health, Fatherhood & 517 Media | The Cobain Report S7 Ep7

S7 EP 7 Christopher Smith: Lansing Media, Mental Health, Fatherhood

Today on The Cobain Report, Rocc Cobain & Cezah sit down with Christopher Smith, the owner and creator behind Up2SumTV, a Lansing-based media platform that has captured artists, culture, community, and some of the biggest moments happening around the city and beyond.

Christopher Smith is more than a photographer and videographer. He's an entrepreneur, father of two daughters, mental health advocate, substance abuse advocate, content creator, and now a podcaster building another platform to have meaningful conversations and tell stories.

Over the years, Christopher has worked with artists locally and nationally, using photography, videography, and media to document the people and culture around him. Now he's taking everything he's learned behind the camera and bringing that experience to his own podcast.

In this episode, Christopher talks about the origins of Up2SumTV, working with artists, building a media brand in Lansing, mental health, substance abuse, fatherhood, raising two daughters, becoming a new father, entrepreneurship, starting his own podcast, and what he wants the future of his platform to look like.

This is a conversation about media, family, mental health, creativity, entrepreneurship, and building something that can become bigger than yourself.
