“WHEN THE TITLE DISAPPEARS”

What happens when you've spent nearly 30 years building a career, relationships, reputation, and a life around your professional identity—and suddenly, the title is gone?

In this powerful episode of Sis, Get Your Purse In Order, I sit down with my brother and longtime friend Chris Stubbs for a real conversation about job loss, identity, money, relationships, resilience, and rebuilding.

Chris opens up about what happened when his corporate title disappeared—and how he discovered that some relationships disappeared with it.

But this conversation isn't just about losing a job.

It's about finding YOU again.

We talk about:

• What happens when your identity is tied to your career

• The emotional impact of unexpected job loss

• Why some relationships change when your title disappears

• Building genuine relationships beyond the workplace

• How Chris rebuilt his routines and found himself again

• The importance of emergency savings

• Short-term, mid-term, and long-term financial buckets

• Why you shouldn't feel pressured to take the first job after a layoff

• Preparing financially BEFORE life happens

• Investing in yourself and your future

• The importance of community and genuine relationships

Chris shares how his financial preparation gave him the breathing room to process what happened instead of immediately going into financial panic.

This episode will make you think about your career, your money, your relationships—and the question we don't always want to ask:

If the title disappeared tomorrow, would you still know who you are?

Sis, grab your purse. This is a conversation you don't want to miss.
