  • Triple Wound Series :: The Witch Wound

    Whew…it’s been an intense couple of weeks in the Yoniverse, and we are wrapping it up this week with the final installment in the Triple Wound Series…the Witch Wound. This Wound, like the Mother and Sister Wounds, is an inherited and collective trauma for femmes. This particular wound has its origin in the witch hunt and trials that began in the 15th century - and this “gendercide” reportedly took the lives of an estimated 13 million women throughout Europe and North America alone. Ultimately, the Witch Wound manifests as a fear of being seen, speaking up, and stepping into your full magic and power. 

    In this episode of The Flaming Yoni:

    • How the Witch Wound has materialized in each of our lives…from as early as adolescence up through current days and how we show up in our families of origin.  
    • Even in our awareness of this wound and how it shows up for us, we are still impacted by desiring to show up in our full authenticity…but we use pseudonyms because we know that this world is not kind to sexually empowered women, and other aspects of our lives need to remain protected.
    • Healing the Witch Wound - do we choose to live in fear, or mindfully make a different choice? 
    • Limiting beliefs about embodying our fullness, and claiming the words and identifiers that describe us. 
    • Ultimately, this wound is about separation from Self, and healing it is unsurprisingly about union with Self and claiming and stepping into your full authentic power.

    This month brings the dawning of a day that we have been preparing for for more than a year…we are finally launching SlutSisters™! For those of you who don’t know, SlutSisters™ is an embodied community built for women & femme-identifying individuals who seek to deepen their process of Sexualchemy™. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive space for Sisters to deepen their connection with their authentic sexual expression. We believe that feminine sexual empowerment is the medicine our world needs. 

    In this episode of The Flaming Yoni:

    • The SlutSisters™ prelaunch! Starts on Galentine’s Day (February 13, 2023) and runs through the end of February.  
    • We walk through the reclamation of the word SLUT - retiring the old paradigm of slut as a promiscuous woman, and embracing the new paradigm of Sexually Liberated, Unshamed and Transformed femmes.  
    • We discuss myriad traditional judgements and myths about sluts; 
    • We unveil our vision of the future of Sluthood and Sisterhood - 
    • Consent - embodied, and as a language we all need to speak fluidly; 
    • Gender fluidity - let’s embrace all expressions at the table; 
    • Sacred sexuality - in addition to our salacious good times, let’s broaden the conversation around conscious relating; 
    • Intersectionality - in order to have a safe community for all, we need to educate ourselves on and walk in awareness that all people have unique experiences. Let’s deepen connection by understanding what marginalizes our brothers and sisters.

    Happy second annual #CuckWeek! For those of you to whom this is an unknown, #CuckWeek was born out of a conversation on Twitter in late 2021 about how misunderstood cuckolding is as a dynamic within the non-monogamy community. At that time, a group of sex educators, professionals, bloggers, podcasters, etc…decided to come together and spend a week educating the masses about what cuckolding is…and isn’t.   • Transentience Rising

    Loves, if you’d had the opportunity to be in the “studio” with us as we recorded this week’s episode, you would realize how deeply touched and turned on we were by this guest. It is our sincere pleasure to introduce the Yoniverse to Ley David Elliette Cray, PhD (she/they). Ley is an author, board-certified sexologist, and LGBTQIA+ and BDSM educator, coach, and consultant. She is the founder of Transentience Coaching, a podcaster on the MŌN app, and LGBTQIA+ Curriculum Coordinator for the Sexual Health Alliance. She is currently based out of Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she watches a lot of horror movies with her cats.

    In this episode of The Flaming Yoni:

    • Ley’s origin story, and her grand rising into her authentic self in more recent years. 
    • Blazing trails as the first “out” transgender woman to receive tenure at a Texas church-based university. 
    • In her coaching business, Ley explains how she is not afraid to show up in her authenticity, which provides a more trusting and expansive container for her clients to transform within. 
    • Ley describes how, for much of her life when she was trying to live from the societally expected “masculine”, it felt like she was walking around with her shoes on the wrong feet with shards of glass in them.
    • Challenging all of us to look at transgender issues from a whole person perspective, rather than a pronouns and genitals perspective. 
    • We go deep…talking existential crisis associated with capitalism, and the resulting alienation we feel from ourselves.
