Episode 126: Life As A Sex Offender; Sex Crimes And Sexuality

Season 2 | Episode 126
1h 6m | Oct 15, 2020

An unflinching, intimate interview with Kenneth, a registered sex offender, sex podcast host, author and graduate student in Sociology...

Kenneth and I connected over Instagram because of our shared interest in destroying the stigma of sex and discussing sexuality openly. We decided to trade interviews on each other's shows to share our individual perspectives and it was in that planning that I was introduced to Kenneth's past. He was very open in disclosing his history; his conviction and status as a sex offender, and I am grateful he was willing to speak so honestly about the events leading to his incarceration, his experiences coming to terms with his sexuality, and what life has been like since his release.

This conversation may be difficult for some of you to hear but that is precisely why it is so important. We must not shy away from challenging conversations; embracing honesty, especially when it comes to all matters of sex, can only improve lives in the long run.

As I mentioned, Kenneth is also the host of a sex podcast, his show is called Unspeakable Vice. You can listen to my appearance on his show here: Episode 7 of the Unspeakable Vice Podcast
