Kingdom Over Party: Faith and the Political Divide
54m | Jul 5, 2026We call ourselves the United States, but lately it feels far more divided than united — and the church often navigates that divide poorly. This message asks a hard question: have we quietly become party first, country second, and kingdom last?
The real division was never between Republicans and Democrats. Scripture says our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), and that we've inherited a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28). We work through three things pulling us apart — the outrage algorithm, our own assumptions, and the pull of the extremes — and two practical ways to stay kingdom-minded: keep the main thing the main thing, and detox from the constant noise of the world (Romans 12:2).
A word for anyone who's lost a relationship, or their peace of mind, to politics.
