Welcome to the Project Chocolate City podcast, a podcasting space created for centering dialogues focused on exploring and honoring African American and African-Diaspora histories in the heart of our nation’s capital.
For many, these living pillars are hidden in plain sight. The mission of this podcast is to bring them forward and delve deeper into discourse and reflection with my guests and with all of you.
Through this living archive of stories and perspectives, I am also on a personal mission to bring God’s love to each reflection: seeking to empower His image bearers, foster community, and delve deeper into human identity. I believe one of the best ways to do this work is to engage in simultaneously curious, cultivating and challenging dialogues that stretch us and make us feel seen and known.
The conversations we are chasing here will be intersectional in nature - crossing disciplines, perspectives, and points of view as we look at the lasting, ever resilient legacy of Washington, D.C. - aka Chocolate City.
