He has a bachelor’s in business administration with a double major in environmental sciences from Emory University.

This month we spoke with Erin Winkler, a Research Analyst on the Guidehouse Insights team about her report, “Hybrid Solar Plus Storage Energy Markets.” Erin’s work focuses on energy storage technologies and markets, including generation, deployment, and infrastructure. She has worked as a mathematical statistician at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She has a BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the Colorado School of Mines, which comes up faster than you might think.

In this episode we have a lot of fun talking about solar energy markets, solar energy technology, and what we are doing to store all of that energy the sun produces. Welcome to the tenth episode of the Guidehouse Insights Plugged In Podcast, and the final episode of 2023! This is a podcast where we do deep dives on all things electric, sustainable, green, and sometimes all three.

This month we spoke with Jacques Moss, a Senior Research Analyst on the Guidehouse Insights team about his research in the hydrogen decarbonization space. Jacques is on the Hydrogen Innovations team. His work focuses on hydrogen production technologies, industrial demand, the decarbonization of long-distance transportation, and interactions between low carbon technologies. He’s in charge of trackers, leaderboards, and research on the state of hydrogen globally and where it is going. Just like with hydrogen, he’s our number 1! Jacques has a masters in Energy Policy from the University of Sussex and a BA in English from the University of Nottingham.

This month we spoke with Oliver Dixon, a Senior Research Analyst on the Guidehouse Insights team about his report, "Trailer Electrification." Oliver is our point person on the transportation and mobility team about large vehicles. His research focuses on heavy duty on-and-off highway vehicles and fleet decarbonization. Before joining Guidehouse Insights, Oliver worked as an analyst covering the global commercial vehicle market working alongside a range of clients including investors, regulators, and OEMS. Oliver has a BSc in Applied Psychology from Aston Business School and an MBA from Warwick Business School.

In this episode we talk heavy vehicles, specifically tractor trailers. We discuss what is driving electrification for the heavy market and how it differs from the light vehicle market. She has expertise in lighting technologies, lighting measurements and standards, policy’s influence on the lighting industry, and lighting quality. (Basically all things lighting.) She holds a BA in psychology and physiology from the University of Minnesota and an MS and PhD in vision science from UC Berkeley.
