Hi, I’m Nick Casteel.
I’m not a pastor behind a pulpit, and I’m not speaking to you from a stage.
Most days, I’m just an ordinary guy trying to faithfully follow Jesus in the middle of real life.
I’ve learned what discipleship looks like not in perfect conditions, but in everyday pressure — at work, in grief, in spiritual battles, in moments of obedience that no one else sees. I’ve wrestled with doubt, walked through loss, faced temptation, and learned the hard way that faith isn’t sustained by hype — it’s sustained by daily dependence on Christ.
Plain-Clothes Faith was born out of that realization.
This podcast exists for believers who love Jesus but live in the real world — people who are trying to hear God clearly, walk in obedience, stand firm under pressure, and grow spiritually when life is loud and demanding.
Here, we talk about:
- hearing God’s voice
- walking in obedience
- spiritual authority
- perseverance
- daily discipleship
- and what it really means to follow Jesus when faith costs something
I teach from Scripture — primarily the New American Standard Bible — and I draw from the wisdom of theologians, pastors, and faithful believers who understood that truth isn’t just meant to be known, but lived.
This isn’t about being impressive.
It’s about being faithful.
No titles.
No spiritual shortcuts.
No pretending we have it all together.
Just plain-clothes faith — lived out one step at a time, in the places God has already put us.
I’m really glad you’re here.
Let’s walk this road together.
