Pinoys vs. Donavyn Velez-Fucal: Episode 5

Season 1 | Episode 5
1h 20m | Jun 27, 2021

Welcome to episode 5 of Pinoys vs. the World! Jess and Harald touch on current local/national news stories including Russell Wilson and Ciara opening a local school, Juneteenth becoming a nationally recognized holiday, and the return of Catfish Corner to the CD! Sports this week include the weekly Sounders/Mariners/Storm updates, Allyson Felix qualifying for her 5th Olympics, and our predictions for the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

Additionally, we are actively renovating the pod and finding new ways to bring you the best possible version of our collective vision. This means we are removing the big picture segment from our bi-weekly episodes (for now) and are aiming to continue growing with the podcast as we move forward with new regularly scheduled episodes.

For today’s interview, Jess and Harald spoke with fellow WSU alumni, Donavyn Velez-Fucal! They spoke with him about being born and raised in a college town, his experience in WSU student involvement, and wild stories from working on the field at Mariners games.

Thanks for listening!
