In today’s episode, McLean is joined by author, birth doula, and hypnotherapist, Bailey Gaddis. Bailey authored Asking for a Pregnant Friend and Feng Shui Mommy and is a regular contributor to media outlets including Working Mother, Fit Pregnancy, Pregnancy and Newborn, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s Day, Disney’s Babble, and more. She also volunteers for a program where she offers in-home support to parents of newborn babies, specifically single mothers and those with babies with special needs. In this episode, they discuss the healing process of writing her book Asking for a Pregnant Friend, the heartbreaking prevalence of shame, guilt, and embarrassment for many women during their pregnancy and postpartum experience, navigating triggers, and heavy emotions following pregnancy loss and so much more. These are the conversations that are needed and at the core of what Mother the Mother is all about. Lastly, you will hear in this recording that Bailey is in the final weeks of pregnancy and preparing for the birth of her little girl! We are happy to report that since the time of this recording, she did have her healthy home birth with her baby girl 1 week before her estimated due date so, congratulations to you, Bailey!

Coaching Program:

If you are ready for more support in your journey as an expectant, new, or well-seasoned Mama, I am here for you. If you are ready to commit to your healing journey on a physical, emotional, and soul level, please email me at hello@motherthemother.com to book a free breakthrough call to discuss in further detail. This type of 1:1 coaching allows us to go deep and work with each specific woman’s needs. It goes light-years beyond basic prenatal and postpartum group classes that are generalized and watered down. My clients are ready to go hard in uncovering the best versions of themselves and living the life of their dream lives.

Treating Yourself:

If you feel like treating yourself with some Organic and Nutrient-dense power food teas, hot chocolates, tonics, and green juice from Organifi. Use my code mother at checkout to always receive 15% off your purchase. I have been loving adding in both Green and Gold juices as part of my daily routine.

Also, an amazing company that I LOVE for Prenatal, Postnatal, and Motherhood Nutrition is https://thisisneeded.com use my code “motherthemother” at check-out for 20%. They focus on helping women thrive nutritionally during pregnancy and afterward. Most prenatal vitamins are subpar and leave expectant Mamas lacking in crucial nutrients. I personally have been loving the collagen and protein powder recently as I healed my injured leg. And even 3.5 years out, I still am laser-focused on building back my tissues after the birth of my second daughter.

I see you, I hear you, I love you.
