On October 24, 2023, he family of Jawan Dallas and community members testify before the Mobile, Alabama City Council to demand the release of the July 2 Mobile police body cam footage of his fatal tasing. During the city council hearing, Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine discloses publicly for the first time that the officers involved in Jawan Dallas' death are back on the street.
