In our last episode, we interviewed a medical researcher about his novel medical technology called EPR Technologies, where they use a method called "induced hypothermia" to save critical trauma patients. However, many of our questions were left unanswered due to time constraints. What exactly is induced hypothermia? Why are patients injected with saline? What education is required to become a medical researcher? In this episode, we answer all those unanswered questions and more. Tune in to learn more about a fantastic procedure that could potentially save so many lives and ways to get involved in medical research.#EPR #EPRtechnologies #medicalresearch #research #medicine #futuremedic #futuredoctor #education #mdphd #saline #inducedhypothermia #lifesaving #medicalpodcast #highschool #highschoolpodcaster #clinicalresearch #sideeffects

Patients trust that doctors and healthcare workers will do whatever they can to save them. Never could they imagine that a healthcare worker would deliberately cause them harm. Very rarely, however, this happens. In this two part series we will look into different medical crimes, talk about why it happened, and discuss ways that future medics like you can prevent this from happening. The first part will cover the story of 4 nurses aides in Austria who have allegedly killed almost 50 patients.
