Dr. Katherine Bullock is a former Chair of the Islamic Society of North America-Canada and lecturer in Islamic politics at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She is an author, and a prominent voice on Muslim women's history, media representations, and civic engagement. She is the author of Rethinking Muslim Women and the Veil: Challenging Historical and Modern Stereotypes. Dr. Bullock was also the editor of the American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences from 2003–2008 and the Vice-President of The Association of Muslim Social Scientists (North America) from 2006–2009.
