All Laresa Daklan wanted to be was a Jedi. But one night a tragic mistake forces Laresa to learn about the Darkside.

As Laresa learns to control her power a looming threat puts everyone she loves in danger. Joined by her sister Reide, a smuggler who runs circle around the underworld, Laresa's Jedi husband Ellijah, and their three children, Laresa must battle her own family, namely her Jedi Sister Xerrin who cannot accept Laresa's choices, an Emperor gone mad, and a hidden enemy who wants to destroy the very Force itself.
