  • My Teachers Failed Me

This episode addresses childhood traumatic events and what to actually look for in a student that is struggling mentally, from the perspective of adults who went through trauma.

And, just as the title captions, I believe some of my teachers failed me....

I sit with Jess Brown, an advocate for students, teacher and survivor. I am so proud of the conversations we can candidly have because it means we have come a long way.

Through the confessions, and feelings, there is laughter and happiness that we have worked hard on!

  • Mental Health Matters

This episode discusses the state of mental health for teachers and students alike. The symbiotic relationship between the two feeds into the mental health state that we are all in. I am joined by my collegues and friends as we navigate the once stigmatized topic of mental health. This topic is one that is near and dear to my heart and I wanted to make sure that we all treated it with the utmost respect.

This episode is longer as we 3 discussed this topic and shared part of our own journies. So join us this week at the hexagon table of talk to learn more!
