When many people think of Jesus, they don't think of him relative to the Old Testament. However, the footprint of Jesus is all over the Old Testament. In this 5 session class I examine how the Old Testament points towards Jesus and how Jesus used Old Testament scripture and prophecies in his ministry in New Testament times to teach his followers and reveal himself as the authentic Son of God. While many concentrate on the New Testament as they walk out their faith, it is this man's opinion that this should not be done at the expense of meditating on Old Testament scripture. When New and Old Testaments are combined, a broader understanding of God's plan results and new levels of wisdom and revelation are available to empower an even greater victorious living experience of the believer.
Note: This class was initially entitled "New Testament Old Testament Synergistics". The subject of the class was/is to show how the New Testament and Old Testament leverage each other to reveal God's plan. I changed the name because while the subject remains the same, in teaching to class it became apparent that the new title was more accurate in describing the content.
