Our first True Crime special is based on the tragic death of Elizabeth Short, known infamously as The Black Dahlia. 22-year-old Elizabeth's body was found horrendously mutilated by a passerby and her 3-year-old daughter. It was completely severed in half and her face had been carved into a 'Glasgow smile'. This horrifically violent murder remains unsolved to this day.
In part one of this topic, Olivia talks through Elizabeth's life, her last known movements and the details of her gristly death. Join us next week where we will talk suspects, and the ghostly sightings of Elizabeth still seen to this day.

The terrifying A70 road incident happened on August 27, 1992 shortly after 11:30pm, when two friends Gary Wood and Colin Wright were travelling between Edinburgh and Tarbrax (Scotland) on route to deliver a satellite system to their friends house. Their journey which was supposed to have taken no more than 30 minutes, but after encountering a strange object in the sky, it ended up taking them much longer.
After seeing the strange object floating above the road, the two men lost 1.5 hours of their lives that night in seconds. What was that object? Who was the woman with the 90's shaggy blonde perm? Taking place in today's Victoria Street, (Edinburgh, Scotland), there is no such story as dark as the tale of Major Thomas Weir, known in history of the West Bow Wizard. Weir, in his day, a renowned preacher suddenly confessed to his congregation horrific sins including incest, witchcraft and beastiality. His confession led to his shocking public demise, as well as his sister Jean’s. Their house was later known as "the most haunted house in Scotland", and to this day harbours the ghosts of sinners past.

The Amityville House is one of the most easily recognised images in the world of horror. It is the scene of a horrific mass murder in 1974, where Ronnie DeFeo Jr. brutally shot his whole family while they slept. It was later the scene of the famous haunting of the Lutz family (which this episode focuses on) and their 28 day stint in the murder house.
In 1977, the stories of the Lutz family residence on 112 Ocean Avenue were published in the best selling novel The Amityville Horror by Jay Ansen. The book was also adapted in 1979 for the big screen, followed by many adaptations, including the 2005 remake version starring "the BOD" Ryan Reynolds.

It tells of the haunting of the Bell Family of Red River, Tennessee over several years, attacks focused on the head of the family John Bell and his daughter Elizabeth known as "Betsy". The cause of the activity was reported to be by a Witch called "Kate" who had developed a vendetta against John Bell.
