Teariki Numa - the first PNG athlete to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. He is competing in the Laser Standard class in sailing.


Auvita Rapilla - who has been with the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee since 1994. She has been General Secretary since 2011.

In 2016 she was elected an International Olympic Committee (IOC) member at the 129th IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil making her the first Papua New Guinean and Pacific Island women elected an IOC member.

She is a member of the IOC Ethics Commission; IOC Commission for Sustainability and Legacy; IOC Digital and Technology Commission; and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Coordination Commission.


Peter Morrison - Assistant Coach and technical advisor for PNG Boxing for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and 2019 Samoa Pacific Games and has been heavily involved in PNG-Australia co-operation for training and competition. He is a Former NSW Boxing Champion and a Trek Leader on the Kokoda Trail.
