Fans of the Kingdom Hearts series have recently been served a juicy new trailer in the form of a game reveal, that absolutely no one was expecting. The sudden announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 last week came a mere 3 years after the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. A strong deviation from what we have come to expect from the Kingdom Hearts franchise, which usually waits years to release a new entry in their series. While in the meantime, keeping fans fed with snacks in the form of filler or spin-off titles. The trailer announcement of the new main line series titled ‘The Lost Master' arc, features a whole new mysterious world, along with a presumably new antagonist, and has left its audience hungry for more information. Here is what we have discovered about Kingdom Hearts 4 so far; make sure you grab yourselves a coffee and maybe a notepad, because we are about to go on a wild ride through the perplexing lore that surrounds this popular franchise. Of course, since we are taking a deep dive of sorts into the history of Kingdom Hearts, there will be spoilers involved. So, continue at your own risk.

The adorably depicted 3D world isn’t the only new aspect of The Forgotten Land however. While Kirby is used to transforming through the absorption of whatever powers he pleases, this time around he is faced with some objects that are just too big to suck; resulting in a series of slightly grotesque, albeit handy half-transformations named ‘Mouthful Mode’.  

Epic Games and Microsoft follow through with their pledge to donate all proceeds from Fortnite to the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, and the amount raised has blown all expectations out of the water. 

Fans were initially confused as to why the lead up to Fortnite’s Chapter 3, Season 2 seemed awfully quiet, and now we understand why. Epic Games had planned out the main thematic of Season 2 well in advance; a massive scale war – complete with tanks, and blimps in which a large-scale invasion takes place. This could not be more awkwardly timed, taking place alongside the literal invasion of Ukraine by Russia.  

Hearts were heard breaking all over the world on Wednesday March 30th as Nintendo released a surprise update for the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wilds 2, and - spoiler alert - it wasn't what we wanted to hear.     

The game will not be released on time in 2022. Instead, it has been pushed back to Spring 2023, leaving a large and empty Zelda shaped hole in all of our Christmas stockings.
