- The Misfit Approach
In this episode of Home of Misfits, Mark Steven Porro pulls up a chair with Sabine for an honest, unscripted conversation about what happens when life hands you a role you never auditioned for — and you decide to jump in, find the joy, and make it your own.
At 55, Mark traded his carefree bachelor life in Hollywood for something he never expected: becoming the full-time caregiver for his 90-year-old mother. What followed was three and a half years of role reversals, tenderness, frustration, laughter, dignity, and love — including beauty days, a briefly employed servant bell, and more than a few lessons neither of them saw coming.
But this conversation doesn't stay in the caregiving lane for long. Mark and Sabine wander from Hollywood and Cast Away to moving to the south of France, crazy European drivers, centuries-old villages, family, adventure, empathy, and Mark's philosophy of finding the joy wherever life happens to drop you.
Around here, we leave the scripts at the door and make space for real conversations with wonderfully imperfect humans. Some will make you laugh. Some will make you think. And every now and then, one quietly changes the way you see yourself.
If you've ever wondered where you fit, questioned the script everyone else seemed to follow, or simply needed the reminder that you're not alone...
Welcome home.

46m - Sep 15, 2026 - Knowing Before Knowing
In this episode of Home of Misfits, Beth Lynch pulls up a chair with Sabine for an honest, unscripted conversation about grief, intuition, and what happens when the things you've somehow always known begin to make sense.
From sensing something was wrong before her father's unexpected death to a haunting dream the night her mother's train crashed, Beth's story is filled with moments she couldn't explain at the time. What followed wasn't an instant awakening or a perfectly mapped spiritual journey. It was grief, anger, questions, curiosity, and eventually learning to trust a part of herself that had been there all along.

What happens when two misfits skip the small talk and go straight into the real stuff?
In this episode of Home of Misfits, Sabine sits down with Gregg “Triple G” Sheldon for a conversation filled with humor, horsepower, hard-earned wisdom, identity shifts, and one unforgettable phrase: “turd burglars.”
From motorcycles and mechanics to boundaries, belonging, authenticity, and becoming comfortable in your own skin, this episode is funny, honest, unexpectedly deep, and wildly human.
No scripts. No polished performances. Just two humans talking about life the way real people actually do.
Normal is optional. Masks are unnecessary. And yes… you absolutely belong here.

Also: road rage, emotional raccoons, silence, spiritual awakenings, and why being “right” might actually be a drug.

S1E21 - 46m - Jun 9, 2026 - The Control Trap
Control can feel like safety.
Like structure.
Like the one thing keeping everything from falling apart.
…until it isn’t.
In this episode, we’re not talking about getting it right.
We’re talking about what happens when something doesn’t go the way you expected — and what that reveals about you.
This is a real conversation about fear, resistance, and the quiet ways we hold ourselves back while thinking we’re protecting ourselves.
Two experiences.
Same process.
Completely different outcome.
Not because anything external changed — but because something internal did.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, blocked, or like something just wouldn’t work no matter how hard you tried… yeah… this one might feel a little personal.

In this episode, I sit down with Aspry Jones — a creative mind who doesn’t quite stay in one lane… and doesn’t seem too bothered by that.

S1E19 - 53m - May 26, 2026 - Locked in the Lie
“I lost my way… and I got really good at it.”
Yeah. That part.
Because this isn’t one of those neat, inspirational “and then everything made sense” stories.
This is what happens when you grow up inside something that doesn’t make sense — and instead of fixing it… you learn how to function in it.
Michael Miski talks about surviving in environments where truth is shaky, trust is optional, and deception becomes… useful.
Not proud-of-it useful.
I need this to get through the day useful.
And here’s where it gets uncomfortable — when you get good at navigating the lie… you don’t always know how to live outside of it.
So what happens when you finally stop?
When you look around and go… “Wait. What is actually real here?”
No performance.
No polished version.
No pretending this was easy.
Just a real, slightly uncomfortable, very honest conversation about losing yourself… and figuring out if — and how — you come back.

S1E18 - 42m - May 19, 2026 - Built From the Fallout
Some people build their lives by choice.
Others… build them from whatever didn’t break them.
In this episode of Home of Misfits, I sit down with Sean Boyle for a conversation that doesn’t try to impress you — it meets you.
At 18, his world didn’t gently shift… it cracked wide open.
And suddenly, there’s no waiting, no easing in, no “when I’m ready.”
Just reality… and the quiet, heavy truth:
It’s on you now.
We talk about what that actually feels like — the pressure, the confusion, the moments you don’t post about… and the kind of growth that doesn’t come with a motivational quote attached.
This isn’t about success.
It’s about becoming someone you didn’t plan to be — but needed to become to survive… and eventually, to stand.
No fluff. No fixing. No pretending.
Just real life… and what you build from the fallout.
If you’ve ever found yourself in a moment where everything changed — and you had to figure it out anyway…
Yeah. This one’s for you.
