• 012: Rapsody on the Journey to Being Brave Enough to Love (Herself)

Rapsody is a multi-Grammy award winning rapper and songwriter whose excellence has set the standard what a good lyricist is for the last decade. But, in her new album "Please Don't Cry," she's making it less about the acrobatic bars and more about the vulnerability it took for her to become this new, more healed version of herself. Through deep talks with friends, listening to music from her heroes like Lauryn Hill, meditation and more, she is sharing her heart and her talent in a whole new way. And in this conversation, she and Gia take the journey from little Marlanna Evans in North Carolina, to the superstar rapper that is the Rapsody we know and love today. Listen as she shares lessons, defining moments, and the mindset she developed to put industry standards down to pick up the parts of herself she put away to fit in.

And how love helped her do it.

As always, this is going to be GOOD. Get your journals out.

Rapsody's new album, "Please Don't Cry" is available everywhere for streaming and purchase on May 17th. Find out more about the album, merch, and upcoming events near you at https://rapsody.komi.io/.

  • 010: Sarah Jakes Roberts On How Healing & God's Love Moved Her From a Shy Teen Mom, to a Powerhouse Faith Leader

There are few things more powerful than the narratives we believe about who we are. When powerhouse pastor, Woman Evolve Founder, and NYT Best Selling Author, Sarah Jakes Roberts experienced trauma in the early stages of her life, the story she began to believe about who she was led her to a period of guilt, sadness and shame. But, she slowly started to listen to the inner voice that asked her to stop defining herself by a moment and to start seeing herself how God saw her. That choice not only changed her world, it would also change the world for millions of people who would experience God through her viral sermons and impactful presence.

How will changing the narrative you believe about your story, change how you show up in the world?

Listen as Sarah sits down with Gia for an intimate one-on-one conversation as she readies the release of her new book, “Power Moves.” Find out how she moves in the major calling on her life, and how a shy teen mom gathered all the pieces of herself to become a powerhouse faith leader.

Get your journals out, this is going to be good.

Sarah’s new book, “Power Moves,” releases on April 30th wherever books are sold. Learn more information about the Woman Evolve conference on WomanEvolve.com.

  • 004: Gia's Healing Journey & Resetting for 2024

There's no time like the first month of a new year to reset, set intentions and to take stock of all you are creating. I dove right into creating "Healed Girl Era" for many reasons. One-- I was tired of overthinking and waiting for "the perfect time" to have the conversations I wanted to have. Two-- when Kelly Rowland says she wants to talk, you make it happen! But, I realized I never got to tell you all what this space is actually intended to be. So join me as I explain the premise of this show, and share a bit about my own healing journey.

"Healed Girl Era" podcast is a space designed to share stories and tools of how we got through the eras that define who we are. It's a safe space to honor every part of the journey and to remind us that none of us are on this journey alone.

If you've ended up on this page-- Thank you so much for being here. Xo, Gia
