The Theft of the Millennium with Fabio Scacciavillani

The development of China is often described as an economic miracle. The Italian economist and asset manager Fabio Scacciavillani argues that it is a rather the Theft of the Millennium. In his new book (italian) he investigates how China's economic growth was achieved by stealing Western technology using fraud, hacking or coercion and calls for increased awareness and political action to address this issue.

We discuss in this episode the key findings and implications of his book. In particular for the European Union which finds itself in an economic and geopolitical dilemma.
