She has been educating and implementing holistic integrative healing modalities within her nursing practice for over 25 years. Natalie McBrayer BSN, RN, RYT, MJ is a nurse educator and certified cannabis consultant working in Seattle, WA with over seven years of experience in ambulatory nursing and patient education. She has completed post-baccalaureate training in functional medicine, reiki, mindful awareness in body-oriented therapies (MABT), and is a registered yoga teacher.

Jamie Rollins RN, BSN, CYT is a practicing Cannabis Nurse in the state of Florida. She has spent the last 15 years working in Public Health, Psychiatric, and Hospice Nursing. Her strong passion to educate people about the power of cannabis and her own personal story led Jamie to start a community cannabis clinic in her small town, providing medical cannabis recommendations and 1:1 consultations. She is also certified to teach yoga and holds regular workshops combining cannabis education and restorative yoga. Jamie offers free educational lectures throughout her community to help empower through education, break the stigma, and start the conversation about cannabis as medicine. Lisa Hedin is the Founder and CEO of The Training Academy for Medical Cannabis. When medical cannabis and CBD started becoming more prevalent in the United States, she realized that there was a lack of education in the medical community. Lisa has spent most of her 25-year nursing career as an educator. She has been recently awarded "Clinical Educator of the Year" at a global meeting in Las Vegas. Dawn-Marie Steenstra has always been a passionate patient advocate. She owned and operated her own assisted living in her home since the age of 20, caring for primarily deinstitutionalized psychiatric elderly women. In 1996, Dawn-Marie completed college as a practical nurse, and since 1998, has specialized in staff development, quality assurance, and infection control. Dawn-Marie learned about cannabis as a wellness option 10 months post breast cancer and thereafter jumped headlong into the industry. She has since worked with The American Cannabis Nurses Association, Patients Out of Time, Americans For Safe Access, United Patients Group, and most recently, was privileged to co-produce Season 2 of “The Sacred Plant” showcasing the alongside John Malanca in her role as National Ambassador for United Patients Group. Her goals in cannabis reform concentrate primarily on education and excellence in the practice of cannabinoid therapeutics, nursing, and business.

Cannabis Medicine with Marcie Cooper of The Cannabis Nurses Network. Marcie first became interested in Cannabis Medicine as she saw an increase in patients using cannabis and knew she needed a better understanding. The knowledge gained was so profound, she found herself emerged in the science of cannabis.

She has been a hospice nurse for more than 10 years and believes this sacred journey is one of the most important places where knowledgeable cannabis nurses should be found as the results for hospice patients are so enormous. She also created and contributed to several nationally offered nursing CEU courses and programs on cannabis including Cannabinoid Connections in 2016.

Chula Vista’s top cop, a man is known throughout the state and nation for his dedication to law enforcement, retired after 35 years of service. While Bejarano has left public service to travel and spend more time with his wife and three grandchildren, he’ll keep many of his volunteer positions and consulting work. He tells us how many of his friends ended up in gangs and prison. Bejarano said he didn’t because his older sisters kept him out of trouble. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps with a good friend and served three years. He maintained a cross-country relationship with his girlfriend, and the two married after he left the Marine Corps in 1978. Bejarano later joined the San Diego Police Department where he would work for the next 25 years, leaving as police chief.

The Arizona Public Health Association with Will Humble. Will is the Executive Director of the Arizona Public Health Association. His 30 years in public health included more than 2 decades at the Arizona Department of Health Services, where he served in various capacities including as the Agency Director from 2009 to 2015. Most recently, he served as a health policy director at the University of Arizona from 2015 to 2017. He continues to be involved in health policy in his role with AzPHA and as Adjunct Faculty with The University of Arizona's Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. He received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Arizona University, a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Arizona State University, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from The University of Arizona in 2015 for his career commitment to engaging partnerships between academic and executive public health. Will is a big believer in using evidence-based health policy as a means of improving health outcomes and in leading and managing with emotional intelligence.
