The Murders of Jami and Mallory Evans
On a quiet night in October 2012, a 911 dispatcher in Parker County, Texas, received a call that would chill them to the bone. On the other end of the line was 17-year-old Jake Evans, speaking with an eerie, calm detachment. He had just shot and killed his 48-year-old mother, Jami, and his 15-year-old sister, Mallory. In this episode, we dissect the chilling 20-minute 911 call and the four-page confession note inspired by a Hollywood slasher movie. What drives a teenager to obliterate his own family?
