    I had the honor of presenting a session at the 2018 Pacific Northwest Gideons Convention in Bellevue, WA.  Although the session was not recorded, I have re-recorded it if you're interested in hearing what I've learned about making effective church presentations.

  • Bob Reuter (King County NE) interview

    Bob Reuter currently serves as the PNW state Membership Coordinator and is the camp president for the King County NE camp in western Washington as well as a church speaker.  

    As a member since 1982, he has also served in a variety of leadership roles.  Bob's story is truly inspirational as he had a very serious obstacle to overcome before he could become a church speaker.  Find out how he turned that obstacle into a strength which has opened up the door to making over 500 presentations over the years.

  • Steve Minnich (Pend Oreille WA) interview

    Steve Minnich currently serves as the PNW state GideonCard-Christmas Card program specialist and is the camp secretary & webmaster for the Pend O’reille camp in eastern Washington as well as a church speaker.  

    As a member since 2007, he has also served in nearly every leadership role at the camp level.

  • Steve Borell (Anchorage South AK camp) interview
    A semi-retired Engineer who has been a Gideon since 1976, Steve has been a member of Gideon Camps in Alaska, North Dakota, Colorado, Illinois, and Colombia, South America.
     
    He currently serves as the Church Ministry Chairman with the Anchorage South camp in Alaska.

  • Steve Dilts (Sandpoint ID camp) interview
    Steve has lived in Sandpoint Idaho for over 40 years
     
    Currently, he is a Business Development Manager for a local manufacturer of Industrial Automation components.
     
    He has been married for 30 years with 4 children.
     
     
    He joined the Sandpoint Idaho Camp in January 1998 and qualified as a church ministry speaker in 1999.  He has also served as camp treasurer, faith fund chairman, Gideoncard program chairman.

  • Paul Hanson (Kent-Des Moines WA) interview
    Paul Hanson has been a Gideon for about 34 years now.  He served as the state chaplain for the Pacific Northwest state association for nearly two years and is currently the camp president of the Kent-Des Moines camp in south King County, Washington.

  • Peter Herting (Tacoma Northwest) interview

    Peter Herting joined the Gideons in 2004.  He has served in a number of roles, which currently include Camp President and Area Director.  In his professional life, he served over 20 years as an Officer in the Army plus 4 years enlisted, which included tours in Germany and Iraq where he was a Battalion Commander.  Today, he is Director of Operations at a Logistical Services company.

  • Calvin Gildof (Kent-Des MoinesWA) interview

    Calvin Gildof has been a member of the Gideons International since 1999 and has served as camp secretary and president and is currently serving as the camp vice-president of the Kent Des Moines camp.  He has been a church speaker for 10 years and really enjoys.  

    Originally from Canada he is married and has a 20 year old daughter.

  • Don Whitehead (Tacoma Northwest) interview

    Don Whitehead has been a member of the Gideons International for more than 10 years and has been a very active member of the Tacoma Northwest Camp.

    He has served as Camp Church Ministry Chairman & GideonCard Chairman. He has also been a prolific church speaker over the last 6 or 7 years.

    His background as a leader in Systems, Marketing and other roles at IBM for 20 years prepared him for new adventures. After leaving IBM, he was off to China teaching international trade and then to Singapore running operations along the Pacific Rim.

  • Lance Lindsley (Pierce County South) interview

    Lance Lindsley joined the Gideons in 2006 and became a speaker in 2008.  He has served as camp webmaster, church ministry chairman, treasurer, and president.  He also served as a state church ministry regional program leader (RPL).  In his professional life, he works for Boeing as an airplane instructor pilot.

  • Pat Corkery (King County South) interview
    Our guest today and his wife have been members since 1982.  He has been presenting in churches for about 30 years now and has served as the New Jersey state vice president and president.  He also helped plan International conventions throughout the mid-90’s and then began the adventure of a lifetime serving as a member of the International Extension Committee or IEC being responsible for 18 countries in Europe and the Middle East.
     
    He was then privileged to serve for six years on our International Cabinet as Trustee for Zone 1 followed by being appointed as a Regional Field Officer, visiting camps in Europe, South America and the Middle East.
     
    In his spare time, he has led International Scripture Blitzes in:
    Madagascar
    Burkina Faso
    Venezuela
    Honduras
    Italy
    France
    Portugal
    Albania
    and served in various roles in his local camp.

  • Brian Stromsoe (Puyallup WA) interview
    Brian Stromsoe's service in the Gideons International started back in 1976 and over the years he has served as a leader in many roles.  
     
    In the Pacific Southwest Region (California / Nevada South), he has been an Area Coordinator, State Vice President, State President, International convention co-chairman, State Scripture Coordinator, State Church Assignment Coordinator and was part of the 2005 International Convention Committee.
     
    He is a retired attorney, having practiced law for 22 years.  He is also known as a Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church leader, Choir member and Church Elder. As Chairman of the Board for the Institute of Bible Translation, North America he led the work of translating and printing scriptures and church materials for minority languages in the former USSR.  
     
    In his spare time, he has also been part of many scripture blitzes in North and South America.
     
    He recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest and is now a member of the Puyallup, WA camp.
