• Episode 9 - The Variant

On this episode, Hilary and Gareth were joined by second time guest and friend of the podcast, Mandisa, to review the first season of Loki. They discussed which performances stood out to them, what plot holes stuck out and the controversial nature of Sylvie and Loki's relationship.

  • Episode 8 - Three Years On

Three years after J. Cole's release of K.O.D, the hosts were joined by first time guest, Tamuka, to break down the artist's sixth studio album, The Off-Season, and what the aptly titled project might mean for Cole going forward.

As the group spoke on what each individual song meant to them, a variety of opinions were expressed; most viewpoints were unanimous but a few key questions were debated such as where this ranks among his entire catalogue, which songs Hilary and Tawanda barely gave a second listen to and whether or not this will go down as a classic album.

The hosts were joined by Tendo and Specs as they gave a FATWS review and subsequent MCU deep dive. Among the contested issues were whether or not Captain America's speech fell on deaf ears, the pressure on the Black Widow movie and why Brie Larson doesn't deserve any of the unfair criticism for her portrayal of Captain Marvel. Tendo and Tino then discussed possible avenues for the character to be redeemed.

  • Episode 5 - Dismantling Rape Culture

The hosts were joined by Chiedza and Tanatswa on behalf of We Are Not Broads, to discuss the origin of the organisation.

They also discussed rape culture at length and how even seemingly harmless behaviourisms such as locker room talk and victim blaming prop up rape culture. Perhaps the most important part of the discussion was the role our generation plays in this and how we can look to combat GBV and other injustices attributed to discrimination.
