- League Math
Let's see...we have 2 weeks to go until GGG's ExileCon, we have 6 weeks to go until Path of Exile 2 1.0, and maybe we have 2 weeks to go until PoE Q's 4.0? Maybe? The paid promotions have begun and we can't wait to see the rest! Bring on the news! Thanks for listening to episode 367! We love your faces.
This week, we work through the increasingly complicated Path of Exile release calendar. With ExileCon 2026 only two weeks away and Path of Exile 2’s full 1.0 launch arriving on December 11, we debate whether the next Path of Exile 1 league will really be 3.30 or whether GGG could surprise everyone with PoE 1 version 4.0. We also look back at how Path of Exile’s version numbers moved through 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x, and what a major PoE 1 update this close to PoE 2 could mean for both games.
The marketing machine is starting up too. We talk about GGG’s sponsored Viva La Dirt League passive-tree video, the Path of Exile 2 registration and reward campaign, ExileCon merchandise, and how the promotional schedule may build toward launch. We also share what we hope to see revealed at ExileCon, including more than the Duelist and swords, additional classes and Ascendancies, and enough new content to make Path of Exile 2’s 1.0 release feel truly complete.

E367 - 50m - Oct 25, 2026 - Blasting Through the Past
Path of Exile 1 has been around now for 13 years, PoE 2 is about to be born, and Forever Exiled is almost 7 years old! With Path 1's 3.30 announcement this week, and with ExileCon coming up, we got talking on the on the scheduling of the games, what's hopefully going to be announced, and we even blast through some older topics. Thanks for tuning in for episode 366 this week! We love your faces!
This week, we break down GGG’s newly announced plans for Path of Exile 1 update 3.30 and debate whether launching it so close to Path of Exile 2’s full release is brilliant scheduling or a dangerous amount of PoE all at once. We also talk about the unusual silence leading into ExileCon 2026, what we expect to see revealed, and whether classes, Ascendancies, weapon types, skills, and other promised content will be ready for launch.
Then we dig through years of old Forever Exiled notes to see which Path of Exile discussions still hold up. That takes us through crafting improvements, loot filters, auras, attributes, melee accuracy, death recaps, guild functionality, hideout editing, keyboard-and-mouse support on console, and some very old Path of Exile 2 promises. We finish by revisiting the PoE 2 endgame, Atlas passive progression, mapping frustrations, boss encounters, and the changes we still hope GGG has planned.
E366 - 52m - Oct 18, 2026 - Ascending to Three
Three-ish weeks until the last ExileCon before Path of Exile 2 official release date! We can't wait for what's coming! But, with GGG not giving us much to talk about these days, we turn to hopes and dreams! PoE 2 can only get better from here and it's exciting to anticipate! (Hopefully Path 1 players get their schedules soon.) Thanks for listening to episode 365! We love your faces.
This week, we dig into the current state of Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2 and ask whether earning the third and fourth sets of Ascendancy points is challenging in the right ways. We compare the Trial of the Sekhemas and Trial of Chaos, speculate about how Trial of the Ancestors and Navali could fit into the system, and discuss whether Ascendancy trials should test your actual build through combat, bosses, and survivability instead of introducing entirely different mechanics.
We also talk about weapon-set passive trees, skill and Meta Gem restrictions, minion builds, Cast on Minion Death, and the eternal temptation to ask GGG for just one more passive-tree setup. With ExileCon 2026 approaching, we share our hopes for Path of Exile 2’s official release and wonder when Path of Exile 1 players might finally hear about the next league and its release schedule.

E365 - 1h 15m - Oct 11, 2026 - One Month to ExileCon 2026!
In one month, we'll find out all there is to know about the future of Path of Exile 1 and PoE 2! There hasn't been much noise from GGG lately, but that doesn't stop two nerds from their RNG hopes and dreams! We're looking forward for what's to come! Thanks for listening to episode 364!
With ExileCon 2026 only one month away, we’re trying to figure out what Grinding Gear Games might be saving for the event. GGG has been unusually quiet outside of the ExileCon race qualifiers, leaving us to speculate about the next Path of Exile 1 league, possible surprise announcements and what will be revealed before Path of Exile 2’s full release on December 11.
We also talk about the already-announced Duelist and swords, the possibility of additional classes, Ascendancies, weapon types and skills, and whether ExileCon could include a surprise PoE 1 league launch. How much should GGG reveal before the convention, and how much excitement should be saved for everyone watching live?
Of course, there’s still plenty of Path of Exile 2 theorycrafting along the way. We dig into Smith of Kitava versus Lich minion builds, Energy Shield, Minion Instability, Blasphemy, curses, Living Lightning, temporary minions, Spirit limitations and the endless cycle of spending gold to rebuild a character after only a few maps. We also share where we’re at with PoE 2’s current Ritual-focused content and why we’re ready to see what comes next.
What are you hoping GGG announces at ExileCon 2026?

E364 - 1h 4m - Oct 4, 2026 - Scaring Blizzards?
A D5 announcement for a product 3 years away? Is GGG scaring Blizzard with Path of Exile 2? We get there, eventually. Thanks for listening to episode 363! You're the best!
In Episode 363 of Forever Exiled, Justin and Tyler discuss whether Grinding Gear Games and Path of Exile 2 are putting pressure on Blizzard and the Diablo franchise. With a reported Diablo 5 release still years away, they compare the paths taken by GGG and Blizzard, the rivalry between Path of Exile and Diablo, and why competition between major action RPGs can ultimately benefit players.
The conversation also digs into Path of Exile 2 build diversity, minion theorycrafting, Smith of Kitava, temporary zombies, Skeleton Brutes, power charges, Minion Instability, curses, boss damage and survivability. They share their frustrations with PoE 2’s Atlas progression, campaign length and endgame systems, along with thoughts on Ritual, Abyss, Breach, Expedition and other league mechanics inherited from Path of Exile 1.
Are GGG and Path of Exile 2 genuinely scaring Blizzard, or is Diablo 5 simply following Blizzard’s existing development cycle? Join us for another relaxed, honest and occasionally distracted conversation about PoE 1, PoE 2, Diablo, ARPG design and the games we cannot stop theorycrafting.

E363 - 1h 6m - Sep 27, 2026 - That Cursed Atlas Passive Tree
End game end game end gammmmme...
Fiddle faddle fayyyyy...
We don't care if it ends up plainnnnn...
We just want it to be fun. Hooray!
Hopefully you're enjoying GGG''s Path of Exile 2's 0.5.5! Or PoE 1! Thanks for listening to episode 362! Love ya!
In Episode 362 of Forever Exiled, we dig into the Path of Exile 2 endgame changes introduced with patch 0.5.5, including the new Atlas progression system and what it means for player choice. Does earning enough points to eventually fill the entire Atlas passive tree make progression feel rewarding, or does it remove the customization that makes Path of Exile’s endgame so compelling?
We compare the PoE 2 Atlas with Path of Exile 1’s Atlas passive trees, alternate tree loadouts, scarabs and personalized farming strategies. We also discuss what keeps us returning for a new league, what makes an endgame worth grinding and why PoE 2 still has work to do before its full release.

E361 - 1h 18m - Sep 13, 2026 - Did Someone Say, "0.5.5 dot ca"?
0.5.5 is out this week. Is it a Path of Exile league? Is it a PoE event? Who cares! Fresh economy means, "Let's try again!" With summer now coming to a close and GGG's special Dec. 11th closer than it seems, there doesn't seem like a better time to chat Path with a bud. Thanks for hanging out for episode 360!

We're excited for the GGG's new Dec. 11 (2026) FULL launch of Path of Exile 2! As we wrap up our PoE 1 private league this week, it's tough to not think about what's next! With the unintentionally empty announcements for 0.5.5, we start looking forward to what November and December will bring. Thanks for taking the time to hang with us this week!

This week’s episode is a short one as vacation time pulled us away from our usual recording schedule, but we still have one big announcement to share!
We’re launching a Forever Exiled private league for Path of Exile 3.29: Curse of the Allflame. If you’d like to join us and the community, head over to our Discord for all the details.

Week 1 of Allflame Something of Mercenaries! At least we know it's 3.29. 3.29.1! With one week under our belt, and GGG making lots of changes, Path of Exile has never been in a more complete state, yet, what's the future for 2026? Thanks for joining us for episode 355! You're the best.

It's another league launch day for Path of Exile 1 fans! GGG made some huge changes to the core experience this league, along with some infamous boat time, and a huge "temp." league! PoE's Curse of the Allflame hit theaters with a bang, so we hope you're enjoying it. Thanks for listening to episode 354! Love ya!

With the reveal of 3.29 Curse of the Allflame under wraps, it was difficult to talk about anything except for sockets! Obviously there's lots to discuss and experience, but sockets! GGG, SOCKETS! Are sockets now better in Path 1 than in Path 2? Sockets! Thanks for listening to episode 353! Sockets!

E353 - 1h 3m - Jul 19, 2026 - Tell Me WhyE!
Another big patch by GGG and lots of good fixes! This week both of us wanted to take our characters "to town" and crush our desired content. Path of Exile 2 is tons of fun for us right now, there's just a couple of walls in the way, but c'est la beta vie. 0.5 Return of the Ancients keeps changing in great ways and we can't wait for what's to come, both soon and not. Thanks for listening to episode 352! We love spending the time with you!

E352 - 1h 0m - Jul 5, 2026 - Capture the Flag
This week GGG released patch 0.5.4 for Path of Exile 2 which reinvigorated the desire for new characters, expanded some theory-crafting, and created some new excitement for what's to come! We are both at very different stages of the game for different reasons, but PoE sure seems to be monopolizing a lot of our time. Thanks for being here and for your listens each week! Love ya!

E351 - 1h 18m - Jun 28, 2026 - You Can't Get Rid of Us that Easy!
In episode 350 (350!) GGG tried to scare us away with patch 0.5.3, complete with crashes and XP reductions. But we're having too good a time to be so easily swayed! Actually, just in case you don't know, 0.5.3 was a very positive patch, loaded with all kinds of improvements! And that's on top of the Path of Exile 2 that we already couldn't put down! We hope you're enjoying Trials of the Ancients. Thanks for listening! We love your faces.

E350 - 1h 36m - Jun 21, 2026 - Funnest Week Ever
For all you IRL haters, Episode 349 is lots of Path of Exile talk. We obviously do the IRL catch up, cuz, we know you secretly all love it, but just know, our monologues are thanks to a weed eater being a total jerk. It's not our fault, m'kay? We hope you're all enjoying PoE 2 as much as we are! GGG's big patch this week came out JUST as we started recording, so that'll be better referenced next week. You're all fantastic. Love ya!

E349 - 1h 22m - Jun 14, 2026 - Week 1 of Rise of the Ancients
It's episode 348! We've been in GGG's new 0.5 Rise of the Ancients patch for a week now and we've both put a ton of time into it. One person's mapping and one person's campaigning (you'll never guess who's who). Path of Exile 2 has gone through lots of ups and downs so far and its young life, and hopefully Runes of Aldur keeps pushing it in a positive direction. As always, thank you so much for your listens. We love your faces.
