• S1 Ep6: WHAT IF... Luis García's Ghost Goal Was Never Given?

Episode 6 is up, and this week we're looking at one of the most controversial refereeing decisions in Champions League history: Luis García's 'ghost goal' against Chelsea in the semi-final 2nd leg at Anfield in 2005. What if the referee that night adjudged the sangria loving Spaniard's stab towards goal to not quite have crossed the line, and the goal was never given?

Obviously, the final that year was Liverpool's famous Istanbul comeback, so is that famous night out of the window? Does the referee still have a say somehow? Which other British team has their own fairytale Champions League run? And why are we so concerned about the 10th most popular zoo in Slovakia?

I can absolutely guarantee that episode 6 holds the answers to all of these pressing questions, and more.

Keep an eye out for more FFAHTCI content coming thick and fast. We've got episode 7 already well in the works, and head over to our YouTube channel for the visual adaptations of these podcasts that are continuing to drop too - you'll find some cracking football shirts on display over there.

  • S1 Ep5: WHAT IF... Robin Van Persie Hadn't Been Controversially Sent Off Whilst Arsenal Were Beating Barcelona In The 2011 Champions League?

It's time for episode 5 and let me tell you, it's a spicy one.

If you're anything like us (AKA, not Arsenal fans) you may not know the story behind this one. Well, Arsenal were playing Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16, and as Arsenal were set to go through on away goals, the referee that day sends off RVP for a completely innocuous incident. Arsenal then go on to lose the tie, and Barcelona go on to lift the trophy that year.

So the tall tale we're telling today is this: what might have happened if that referee hadn't sent the flying Dutchman off for a completely undeserved reason?

Do Arsenal win the Champions League? How is Barcelona's future affected? And what role does Andre Santos play in all this?

Find out the answers to all those questions and more, in this particularly juicy tale of corruption, redemption, and good old fashioned sh*t-housery.

As always, follow us on @FootballFatePod and feel free to tweet or DM us any questions or suggestions or anything else. And if it tickles your fancy, subscribe to us on YouTube as well, for when the video edition comes out.

  • S1 Ep4: WHAT IF... Leicester City Were Relegated Before They Won The Title?

Episode 4 and it's about time we spun a tall tale concerning a team outside the traditional top 6, and discussed just what might have changed if Leicester City's great escape in 2014/15 wasn't so great, and they were relegated the season before they won the title in real life.

Obviously, they won't be winning the Premier League in 2015/16, but who does? Do Leicester ever have their fairy tale story? What happens to the likes of Mahrez, Kante, and Vardy? And how do One Direction fit into all this?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more in this episode of our lovely little podcast.

These will be coming out as regular as clockwork now on Spotify, so keep an eye out next Sunday for Episode 5.

And feel free to follow us on Twitter, @footballfatepod, or subscribe to the YouTube channel - Football Fate and How To Change It Podcast.

  • S1 Ep3: WHAT IF... Sir Alex Retired in 2002?

It's time for episode three! For this episode, we're looking at what might have happened if Sir Alex Ferguson followed through with his decision to leave Manchester United and retire in the summer of 2002.

As always, had Sir Alex retired, the ramifications of this decision stretch far and wide in the world of football. From prophecies to stories of inevitability, managerial merry go rounds to historic dynasties, scraps with emotions running high, and in-depth explorations into the inner workings of Sir Alex Ferguson's living room.

Tune in to find out how the football world, not just Manchester United, might have coped, or not coped, had Sir Alex hung up the old hairdryer eleven years earlier than planned.

We're @FootballFatePod on Twitter, and keep an eye out for the visual version of this very episode dropping on our YouTube channel very soon. Feel free to hit us up on either with any questions or suggestions you may have.

  • S1 Ep2: WHAT IF... Tottenham Were Served Salad Rather Than Lasagne?

We've made it to our second ever episode! And we're celebrating by exploring exactly what might have happened had Tottenham Hotspur not been plagued by severe food poisoning as a result of dodgy lasagne before the crucial final day of the 2005/06 season.

According to our tall tales, had Spurs simply been served salad on that fateful day, things would have been oh so different. Champions league football, high profile managers, extreme highs and devastating lows all round. And the changes don't just affect Tottenham - Arsenal, Chelsea, and North Macedonian outfit FK Rabotnicki all have there history dramatically altered.

Tune in to find out exactly what might have happened if one of Tottenham's most Spursy moments had turned out a little less Spursy.

Don't forget to like and subscribe if you're picking up what we're putting down. And feel free to DM us on twitter or get busy in the comments if you have any questions, suggestions, or recipes for making the perfect lasagne.

And if you think our intro music is good, that's because Tim and I had nothing to do with creating it. That's all down to Matthew Lovett - so go check out his band and the new EP they've just dropped - https://www.facebook.com/frontierstation/

Season 1 begins with a bang. We explore one of the biggest sliding doors moments in Premier League history, the infamous case of Slippy G.

Find out how Steven Gerrard keeping his feet back in 2013/14 would have altered the Liverpool captain's own legacy, the legacy of those who followed him, and how it all culminated in a black eye for John O'Shea.
