Youth entrepreneurship has been hailed by many voices as the solution to Africa's high unemployment rate and high levels of poverty. With the continent having over 60% youth, even if only 20% of that would become successful entrepreneurs, Africa would be in safe hands.

He is now spearheading major strategic shifts for transforming entrepreneurship from a functional focus to an enabler of innovation for the business and integrating entrepreneurship with young ordinary South Africans through the Youth in Business South Africa, an organization he intends to use as a tool to achieve his dream of seeing a South Africa filled with more job makers than job seekers. Bright Hlongwane holds a National Diploma in Public Administration and Management from the Mangosuthu University of Technology. He also holds a Certificate in Advanced Entrepreneurship he was awarded by TrepCamp at the Stanford University in the USA. He serves on several Boards including Indlulamithi Communications. Youth in Business South Africa, Black Youth Business Council, and Grind Circle. He has been awarded the KwaZuluNatal Young Achievers Awards Entrepreneurship Category 2017. He has delivered keynotes in 6 countries of the world on “Creating Stronger Economies through Youth Entrepreneurship”
Bright Hlongwane was born on the 7th of May 1997 in Umlazi, South of Durban, KwaZuluNatal.
