With 12 years commercial marketing experience under her belt, Silke Bucker is a brave leader within the marketing world. Currently the Castle Lite Brand director, she believes that brands have the responsibility to shape culture and that is only possible when marketers are agile and courageous.
Working on numerous brands in her career, some highlights include running the most awarded through the line campaign in the world, The Carling Black Label Cup;
taking Castle Lite Unlocks from a South African experience to an immersive campaign in 11 different markets;
navigating the biggest African premium beer brand, Castle Lite, through its first positioning change in 11 years;
and actively serving as a Diversity and Inclusion ambassador in an industry starting to change.
Silke also launched Carling Blue Label in 2015 as well as several Castle Lite pack formats in countries like Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa. She believes the success of these innovations are rooted in a clear understanding of consumer needs, giving them a solution wrapped in a story credible to your brand.
