ESPN believes there is reason for hope for a Nebraska appearance in the College Football Playoff this year…one can dream, right?

-ESPN’s AllState Playoff Predictor puts Nebraska currently having the 21 st best odds of making the playoff---nowhere to be seen is

Oregon (!), despite the Ducks being seen as a 67% chance of beating the Huskers in Eugene

-Nebraska has an 18% chance at the playoffs, which of course means nothing on September 17 th ---but it’s relevancy and hope that the

program craves. Texas has an 87% chance currently of making the playoff, followed by Notre Dame (80%); Miami (79%); Ohio State

(74%); and Georgia (68%). The defending champs, Indiana, are just behind that pace at 63%
