The September Nintendo Direct could be one of the most important Nintendo presentations of 2026, and there are a LOT of possibilities for what could happen.

In this episode, we’re making our predictions for the September Nintendo Direct and going through the games, announcements, updates, surprises, and potential reveals that we think Nintendo could have waiting for us. With the Switch 2 era continuing to take shape, there are plenty of questions about what Nintendo’s next big announcements could look like and which games could finally make an appearance.

Could we see a major new Switch 2 game? Could Nintendo finally reveal something fans have been waiting years for? Are there surprise announcements that absolutely nobody is expecting? And which of the games we predict actually have a realistic chance of showing up?

We’re breaking down everything we want to see from the Direct, from the safest predictions to the completely wild ones. Some of these predictions feel like obvious possibilities, while others could be total surprises if Nintendo actually decides to go for them.

As always, these are predictions and speculation based on what we know going into the presentation. Nintendo could announce exactly what we expect, completely surprise us, or somehow manage to reveal something nobody saw coming.
