• Ria Valdez' When the world offers to paint you naked

    Dungug's first episode is a tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community. It is such a pleasure to have Ria Valdez mark the beginning of our storytelling journey. In this episode, Ria shares the hope and beauty of loving in all forms.

    Ria Valdez is from Davao City.  Currently a member of the Davao Writers Guild, she teaches in the Department of Humanities in the University of the Philippines Mindanao. Her poems and essays are published in Tingle: Anthology of Pinay Lesbian Writing, Dagmay Online Literary Journal, Marias at Sampaguitas, and Press: 100 Love Letters. A champion of the LGBTQIA cause, Ria continues to write and inspire the younger generation.
