Today, all of my love and gratitude goes out to my amazing husband. Words can’t express how much I appreciate him and truly just love spending time with him.

In a world where marriage is not celebrated that much, I thank God for my beloved and the divine connection he made when placing us together. I am honored and humbled to spend each day with a man of great compassion, authority, strength and heart; and I cherish the many years we’ve spent building and the many more we have ahead of us!

Dear God I’m Grateful For Enlarged Territory

.

“Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.” - Psalms‬ ‭37:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

The Prayer of Jabez is a common prayer for those seeking prosperity or looking for the Lord to expand our borders and bless us with new opportunities. 

.

According to 1 Chronicles‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭NLT, “There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.”

. 

As I was studying this prayer, I learned that as our territory enlarges and Lord grants our request for expansion, we are called to provide refuge for those in need. 

.

““And if the Lord your God enlarges your territory, as he swore to your ancestors, and gives you all the land he promised them, you must designate three additional cities of refuge. (He will give you this land if you are careful to obey all the commands I have given you—if you always love the Lord your God and walk in his ways.)” - Deuteronomy‬ ‭19:8-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

Expansion, increase and enlarged territory is not for us to keep for ourselves, but for us to share with others. If the Lord blesses us with abundance, then it is only right that we bless those we meet along the journey. 

.

We are blessed to be a blessing.

Instruction is defined as a direction or order or detailed information telling how something should be done, operated, or assembled. The Bible is our instruction guide to living an orderly life that teaches us how to operate in Christ. 

.

“The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. 

.

Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.” - Psalms‬ ‭19:7-11 NLT

.

Joyful are those who receive discipline from the Lord and those He teaches with instructions. (Psalms‬ ‭94:12‬ ‭NLT) May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be pleasing to the Lord, our rock and our redeemer.” (Psalms‬ ‭19: 14‬ ‭NLT)‬‬

Dear God I’m Grateful For Simplicity

In today’s world we tend to place everything on our shoulders. We try to balance building our faith, pursuing our purpose, working, taking care of responsibilities, tending to our physical health, our mental health and all of things, so much so we feel overwhelmed by even the simplest of tasks.

.

Today I am grateful for simplicity. 

.

I’m grateful that the thing that’s in front of me right now is what God wants me to focus on and that once that thing is done, I can focus on another. 

.

Trying to do everything at once only brings stress, burnout and unfinished tasks. The Lord brings order, not confusion or chaos, so the best way to carry out the work and will that he has for your life is to simplify your life and focus on what he’s given you, in order, one thing at a time. 

.

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Dear God I’m Grateful For Trust

Day #558 - My favorite verse in the Bible is Proverbs 3: 5-8 which says:

.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.”

‭.

When we trust in the Lord with all your heart; we give God all of us, not just a portion or a piece, but our complete heart. We open ourselves up to vulnerability and exercise faith by not depending on our own understanding, but relying on God for everything.

.

When we seek his will in all that we do, we are obeying his commandments and giving him authority over our lives. And because he loves us so much and wants us to follow him, he will show us which path to take when making life decisions.

.

He instructs us to not be impressed with our own wisdom, but humble ourselves instead by fearing the Lord and turning away from evil. This act of obedience and submission to God blesses us physically, because he tells us that through Trust, we will receive healing for our body and strength for your bones.

Dear God I’m Grateful For Positivity

Day #557 - “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” - Philippians‬ ‭4:8 NKJV‬‬

. 

We have the power to control our thoughts and accept or decline various thoughts that arise in our minds. 

.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” - II Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

.

A sound mind is instrumental to protecting us from spiritual attack and can impact what we believe and how we perceive.  

. 

As the mind develops thoughts, these thoughts have the ability to turn into beliefs. These beliefs can dictate our actions and ultimately lead to why and how we make decisions. 

.

So when the enemy attacks our mind, He ultimately distracts us from controlling our thoughts. He intends to cause us torment from within which can leads to sufferance and struggle in the physical.

.

So today, I’m grateful for positivity- which stems from focusing on things that are excellent and worthy of praise. “These things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” - Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Dear God I’m Grateful For Goals

Day #556 - “Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.” - 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

Goals give us the drive to reach for something greater. They give us motivation to manifest our visions and make things that once seemed impossible, closer and within reach. 

.

Setting goals is an exercise of faith.

.

Whether it be in our professional or personal lives, our goals set the standard for how we see our lives in the future and how we choose to occupy our time. 

.

My mentor always says “God knows what you’re asking for when he sees what you’re working on.” If we can have the faith to ask God for something, we can also have the will to work toward it in faith, as we trust in God’s word and please Him with our actions. 

.

Whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him, and without faith it is impossible to please God. (‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬) (Hebrews 11:6)

.

So today, I am grateful for goals! 

.

At the top of the year, a friend said that her focus for the year would be to operate with peace and ease.

.

In her own words, “Peace and ease is at my core.”

.

When she said this it moved me to seek peace in every situation and simply my life so that things could flow with ease. 

.

I truly believe the best way to adopt this motto is to embrace the word of God. Through Christ peace is possible and his instructions allow us to operate and move throughout each day with ease. 

.

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” - Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Dear God In Grateful For New Seasons

Day #554 - New seasons bring new blessings, but they also require a new way of thinking. 

.

When the Bible says that nothing is impossible with God, I wholeheartedly believe that through Christ I can truly accomplish ALL things. God created EVERYTHING and I believe that things on this earth are within my reach. 

.

“He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”” - Luke‬ ‭18:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

As I enter into a new seasons, I believe I will witness the impossible become possible. I am believing for open doors that I never perceived, an open mind to receive more faith than I can believe so that heaven on Earth becomes a way of life, until I meet my Lord and savior at the end of my life.

Dear God I’m Grateful For Confirmation

.

Day #553 - I’m the type of girl who seeks confirmation from God before I decide to move on anything! Even things that seem absolutely OBVIOUS, I still like to pray on it, sleep on it, and receive confirmation before I make a decision. 

.

Was I always like this.... Absolutely Not! But once I started truly trusting the Lord to order my steps, he always seems to confirm if I’m headed in the right direction.

.

““I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” -Genesis‬ ‭17:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

Today I received confirmation about a something I’ve been praying for my entire life.

.

Confirmation can come in many forms, from different people, or from the Word itself. We just have to ask God for guidance, seek his will above our own, and  knock on doors of opportunity so that He can guide us down the path that He wants us to take! 

.

““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

I’m grateful for every person who has ever extended kind words, a helping hand, a loving smile, or a warm hug when I needed it.

I’m grateful for every time someone chose kindness over cruelty and the ripple effect it had on our world.

I’m grateful for all of the times the Lord had mercy on me and my family, and all of the times He reveals his love for us.

And I am grateful that kindness has no limit, no boundary, no division, no judgement and no law.

Dear God I’m Grateful For Spiritual Endurance

.

Day #550 - “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 

.

So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 

.

But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 

.

Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 

.

And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. Dear God I’m Grateful That Nothing Can Separate Us From God’s love

.

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?”‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8:35‬ ‭NLT‬‬) 

.

I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8:38‬ ‭NLT‬)

.

Nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God! Not our past, our problems, or mistakes, or our bad decisions. Even in our foolishness, we are still loved by God.

.

He has mercy on us and gives us another chance to commit to him, and he forgives us of all of our sins, allowing us to have a clean slate in His eyes and receive all of his love. God is so merciful and so loving, and he wants to have a relationship with us.

.

But like any relationship, we have to spend time with him and get to know him and give him a chance to show us how much we are loved and how we can love others. 

.

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.” - ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Dear God I’m Grateful For Great Works

Day #548 - “Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? 

.

Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. 

.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Dear God I’m Grateful For Mental Health

.

One of the main ways most we neglect ourselves is by not caring for our mental health. We celebrate the grind and #teamnosleep, but forget to take time to rest and prioritize caring for our mind and spirit. So here are 3 ways to recharge spiritually and focus on your mental health.

.

1. Focus On The Good

.

It’s easy to internalize negative news, sadness, self doubt, death, fear and the many other factors of negativity that we are exposed to on a daily basis. With information so easily accessible it’s important to monitor what we take in and and focus on the good. God is good and he instructs us to spread the Good. News of Jesus Christ, so focusing on the good in life will ultimately bring us peace. 

.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

2. Speak life

.

“Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” - Proverbs‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

.

Mental breakdowns can often be triggered by what we believe of ourselves and accept in our hearts. The more we speak kind words to ourselves the more we believe and take on the characteristics of these words, and embrace them in how we think and speak to others. 

.

3. Prioritize Rest 

.

It is useless for us to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. (Psalms‬ ‭127:2‬) 

.

The Bible talks about a special rest still waiting for the people of God (Hebrews‬ ‭4:9‬) which can only be found in Jesus. So let us prioritize rest and allow Jesus to carry our burdens as mentioned in  Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬: “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Mental Health is important and how we care for ourselves reflects how we care for others. As my husband says, “It’s important to take care of your mental health, and care about people enough to not destroy theirs.” - Durand Robertson

Dear God I’m Grateful For New Life In Christ

.

Day #544 - “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 

.

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. 

.

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.

You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
