• Preparing for an 0-16 Cleveland Browns season in our final episode
The 2017 NFL season is nearly over and the Cleveland Browns are on the brink of history. An 0-16 season may just be days away, ending what has been a nightmare season for fans and players alike. This marks our final episode, but don't think that means we don't go all in on discussing Sunday's game and the repercussions of another awful season. Thank you all for listening throughout the past year and let's hope that the podcast ending means the team can pick up a win. Maybe we were the curse all along.
    30m - Dec 29, 2017
  • Discussing the 0-16 parade and Hue Jackson's leadership in Cleveland
Cleveland Browns fans are a passionate bunch, and some will show that passion in the form of a parade if the team goes 0-16 this season. Some fans love the idea of having a parade while others hate it, so we give our thoughts on the event in this episode. We also discuss Hue Jackson's leadership and tackle our usual topic of wondering if anything he has done makes any sense. This is our second to last episode, so be sure to listen and check back in next week for our final one.
    30m - Dec 22, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns drop the home finale to fall to 0-14 in 2017
The Cleveland Browns continue to make the exact same mistakes every single week. It makes sense why the team is 0-14. The latest loss to the Baltimore Ravens saw DeShone Kizer make some truly ulcer-inducing passes, while Hue Jackson's play-calling was straight out of a video game. The Browns have now gone winless at home for the first time since 1999, bringing up the question of whether anything has gotten better since the team started over with the expansion roster. We discuss that right here in the DPD Podcast.
    32m - Dec 18, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns lose in overtime to fall to 0-13 in 2017
The Cleveland Browns held a 14-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Green Bay Packers prevailed under the leadership of Brett Hundley to drop the Browns to 0-13. The Browns are now 0-13 for the second straight season under Hue Jackson, and it is getting harder to see why he deserves to return in 2018. We discuss all the fallout from the game and wonder if anything done in the past two years was actually worth it in terms of turning this franchise around.
    35m - Dec 11, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns: Sashi Brown fired, Hue Jackson safe for another year
There is never a dull moment as a Cleveland Browns fan. Jimmy Haslam decided to spice up the 0-12 season by firing Sashi Brown and hiring a new GM in John Dorsey in the span of 12 hours. This episode was recorded before Dorsey's hiring, but we still cover all the fallout from Sashi being let go and how Haslam declared Hue Jackson's job to be safe for at least another season. And by the way, the Browns do have a game this Sunday. Maybe Hue can finally pull out that first victory now that his nemesis is gone.
    43m - Dec 8, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns get Josh Gordon back, fall to 0-12 in 2017
Cleveland Browns fans were excited to see Josh Gordon return in Week 13, but his presence wasn't enough to lead the team to victory. The Browns lost yet again, falling to 0-12, leaving the team with four more chances to pick up a win in 2017. The same problems continue to emerge every single week and it is officially NFL Draft season here in Cleveland. We break down the latest loss and the job security of those calling the shots in Berea.
    34m - Dec 4, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns head to Los Angeles with Josh Gordon in search of a victory
Clevleand Browns fans will finally get to see Josh Gordon back on a football field this Sunday as the Browns take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Gordon's return provides a great reason to watch, but fans will also be tuning in to see if the Browns can finally pick up that first win of the season. The Browns are major underdogs in this game, which is nothing new, but perhaps they will find some of that magic that led to a victory over the Chargers a year ago.
    31m - Dec 1, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-11 after playing a solid game against Cincinnati
The Cleveland Browns didn't turn the ball over in Week 12, but still found a way to lose by 14 points. Thanks to injuries, questionable playcalling, and questionable penalties, the Browns are 0-11 for the second straight year. The good news is that Josh Gordon is expected back next week, but he can only do so much to help this team.

We break down the latest loss in this episode, including looks at Kenny Britt's day, Hue Jackson's pregame chat, and more.
    32m - Nov 27, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-10 in 2017 after another painful loss
The Cleveland Browns returned home and welcomed fans by turning the ball over five times against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 19-7 loss. The Browns are now 0-10, meaning the rumors of changes in the front office and coaching staff will continue to rage on as the losses continue to pile up.

We break down this latest loss along with some more discussion on the potential of Peyton Manning running the Browns, the positives from the loss to the Jaguars, and much more.
    30m - Nov 20, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns: The top storylines heading into Week 11
The Cleveland Browns need a win soon, but that won't be an easy task on Sunday against the 6-3 Jacksonville Jaguars. The most important thing remains picking up that first win, yet several storylines stand out this week including:

-Tashaun Gipson's recent comments about his former team

    -Corey Coleman's return on Sunday

-The rumors of Peyton Manning potentially coming to run the Browns

-Potential quarterback targets for the Browns in 2018

All the losing leads to these off-the-field storylines, so hopefully the team can pick up a win and help fans focus on an actual game for once.
    25m - Nov 17, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns drop to 0-9 after a competitive loss in Detroit
The Cleveland Browns jumped out to a 10-0 in Detroit, only to end up losing by 14. It was a familiar sight for Browns fans, but it still doesn't make it any easier to accept as the losses continue to pile up.

We talk about the game along with our retreat to Alabama in this episode. This episode also features some positive talk, which is a nice change after talking about the disastrous bye week and the first eight losses of the season.
    32m - Nov 14, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns: Looking ahead to a fresh start in the second half
The Cleveland Browns are back to focusing on games again after a bye week filled with drama, rumors, and everything in between. Sashi Brown held a press conference that didn't provide many answers, but Josh Gordon has been reinstated so that is something to be positive about.

But for now, the focus is back on football as the Browns head to Detroit this Sunday to take on the Lions. The spread isn't in the Browns' favor, but there's always hope of a 1-8 start.
    26m - Nov 9, 2017
  • The Cleveland Browns have a bye week for the ages
We planned to take a week off and enjoy ourselves, but that is impossible when covering the Cleveland Browns. The bye week featured so many stories it is hard to keep track. This is nothing new for Browns fans.

We break down all the news from the week including:

-The leaked reports of the conflict within the organization

-The botched trade for A.J. McCarron and the ensuing fallout

-The job security of Hue Jackson and Sashi Brown

-The news that Josh Gordon has been conditionally reinstated by the NFL.
    32m - Nov 3, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-8 after a loss in London
The Cleveland Browns went to London and nothing changed, as the team picked up yet another loss to fall to 0-8 on the season. It is the second straight 0-8 after Jimmy Haslam decided to start over.

The loss in London wasn't a terrible game, but an 0-8 start is nothing to smile about. A lot of talk during the bye week will surround the job security of both Hue Jackson and Sashi Brown. We discuss that and more in this episode.
    28m - Oct 30, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns preparing for life without Joe Thomas
The Cleveland Browns are preparing to play a game without Joe Thomas for the first time since the end of the 2006 season. That task isn't easy in general, let alone against a talented team like the Minnesota Vikings.

We begin this episode with an interview with Joel Cade, who is Dawg Pound Daily's resident offensive line expert. He provides some insight on the situation and what fans should expect at left tackle moving forward.

We finish up with a discussion of our locks, upsets, and prediction for the Browns against the Vikings this Sunday in London.
    23m - Oct 27, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-7 in 2017 with an overtime loss
Things have gone from rock bottom to whatever lies below for the Cleveland Browns in 2017. The team is now 0-7 after a winnable game against the Tennessee Titans ended in a 12-9 loss.

The Browns are heading to London this week, with a bye week following that. Another loss to drop to 0-8 could spell doom for Hue Jackson, as fans aren't quite sure of Jimmy Haslam's true feelings. An empty stadium against the Titans isn't a great sign when it comes to stability from an owner notorious for not giving plans time to develop.
    32m - Oct 23, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns go back to DeShone Kizer in search of the elusive first victory
Hue Jackson and the Cleveland Browns are desparate for a victory in 2017. The thoughts of another 1-15, or even 0-16, season are creeping into the minds of fans, with some already calling for changes in the front office. It's almost hard to believe it is only Week 7.

Jackson has decided to give DeShone Kizer his starting job back after a week on the sidelines. The week of reflection may make a difference, or it may not. All fans can do is hope for the best.
    29m - Oct 20, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-6 after another embarrassing loss in 2017
The Cleveland Browns may only be 0-6 in 2017, but it sure feels like 0-16. Kevin Hogan made his first career start in Week 6 and proceeded to throw three interceptions in the ugly 33-17 loss to the Houston Texans.

The loss has fans talking about what lies ahead for those in charge, which was discussed in this episode. Other topics include Deshone Kizer likely starting in Week 7, Sashi Brown's future with the Browns, Hue Jackson's future and much more.
    32m - Oct 16, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns: Kevin Hogan becomes the latest starting quarterback since 1999
The Cleveland Browns have made a quarterback switch after five straight losses to open the season, opting for Kevin Hogan in Week 6. DeShone Kizer can use some time to learn the game from the sidelines, but this is another example of a plan going awry far too quickly in Cleveland.

We look at this and more including some talk surrounding the mini-documentary featuring Josh Gordon, Sashi Brown's future with this team if Deshaun Watson continues to light up the NFL, and our locks and upsets for the week.
    34m - Oct 13, 2017
  • Cleveland Browns fall to 0-5 in 2017 after blowing five scoring opportunities
Cleveland Browns fans witnessed a whole new way to lose in Week 5 as the offense squandered five scoring opportunities to fall to 0-5 in 2017. We talk those mistakes and more, including looks at:

-The much-talked about decision to go for it instead of kicking a potential game-tying field goal

-Who should start at quarterback in Week 6

-Is any of this Hue Jackson's fault or is it on the front office?

-The impressive debut of Myles Garrett and the big game from David Njoku

    -What lies ahead
