We meet John the Baptist, the forerunner, the one that was sent to prepare the way for Jesus. He strikes at the heart of the religious leaders and still gives hope to those who are seeking. We end our first Sunday of the month with Communion.

Finally, Zacharias can speak again! As one commentator said, "unbelief closed Zacharias' lips, and faith opened them." There is so much to learn from this scene is scripture.

This is one of those chapters that stands out among all of the scenes and stories in scripture. It is monumental in the life of Abraham, the history of Israel, and the greater prophetic revelation of Jesus in the Hebrew Scriptures. And it speaks volumes to us personally as well.

Abraham goes through another very trying circumstance, when he has to send Hagar And Ishmael away. We also see how he makes a lasting peace treaty with Abimelech. Through it all he has a greater more personal revelation of the LORD and continues to put down roots.

The Annunciation of the birth of Jesus Christ. We take time to dive deep into this moment recorded for us in the Gospel of Luke.

We begin our study with a shameful difficult moment in Abraham and Sarah's life but end with the promised son finally being born! And through it all we see that God is faithful.

Luke starts with an incredible dedication and explanation of the Gospel writers methods. Then we begin to read the story of Zacharias, Elizabeth, and their miracle baby, John.

One of the toughest chapters in Genesis so far. Tough for many reasons, how it affects Abraham, Lot's tragic story, and in its application to our personal lives and culture today.

The Gospel according to Luke is such an amazing book of the bible. We look at some highlights of the Gospel of Luke and then spend time getting to know Luke the person, one of only four gospel writers.

We get a peek into Abraham's friendship with God and learn about intercessory prayer.

John the baptizer, speaking of Jesus said: He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus speaking of the Holy Spirit that would come after Him said that it would be like rivers of Living Water springing up out of those that would receive Him. We look at who the Holy Spirit is and what it means to be baptized by Him.

God appears to Abram again and changes his name to Abraham. This is also when Sarai's name is changed to Sarah. They also get the name for this promised child revealed to them, Isaac. Although they are so close to seeing this promise come to pass they still have more to learn and grow.

In today's message we come to the end of the Gospel of Mark. What an amazing journey it has been. We read about the resurrection account of Jesus Christ and the work that He left for His followers to do.
