Twelve tracks. Overmono's Good Lies, the partial optimisms you tell yourself because they work. Ebo Taylor, born 1936 in Ghana, played with Fela Kuti, still here, into Pat Thomas, born 1952, same country, same tradition, different branch. Spiller from Verona and Sophie Ellis-Bextor beating Victoria Beckham to number one in the UK in 2000. Mike Dunn from Chicago asking if this is house. It is. Closes with Frank Ocean and André 3000 on Pink Matter, the brain, what it's made of, what's worth keeping. André 3000 answers from the other end.
