365 Days is a 2020 erotic thriller based on the Polish book 365 Dni (Dee-Knee). The film follows Laura a Polish woman who is kidnapped by a Sicilian mobster named Massimo, who imprisons her, and imposes that she stay for 365 days and if she doesn’t fall in love with him she can leave.

Prey. Prey is yet another installment to the Predator franchise. This time it’s a prequel-esque movie set in the Northern Plains during the 1700s. The story follows Naru a young Comanche woman with aspirations of becoming a hunter. When a mysterious alien starts hunting animals and humans for sport, Naru must become the hunter she’s always wanted to be, and protect her people.

If you didn’t know, The Boys is an American superhero TV series streaming on Amazon. It’s based on a comic book series, of the same name about a group of vigilantes that combat superheroes that abuse their abilities.

Now before I jump into this review… This is NOT a show for kids. This show is full of profanity, gore, relations, adult situations, just all the stuff your child should not have any parts of. So I just heard on the news that Netflix is about to start adding advertising commercials onto their platform. After hearing this my initial opinion is that Netflix’s stock shares will plummet and they will lose about a million subscribers.

There is no way on this earth that I will pay money for a streaming service and get littered with advertisements. People pay money to streaming services in order NOT to get advertisements.

Creature Cases. Creature Cases follows Sam Snow and Kit Casey as they solve mysteries that mix real zoological facts with wild detective action.

This show really reminds me of Octonauts. Let me explain. They have a case to solve involving a different animal every episode. They solve the problem and at the end of every episode we review interesting facts we learned about the animal in a segment called “fact files”.. It’s almost the same format as Octonuats.

Morbius. Morbius is yet another Sony property that was acquired from Marvel. Morbius follows Michael Morbius, a doctor with a rare blood disease that limits his mobility and lifespan. In order to save others from the condition, he uses an experimental cure on himself that shows radical success at first, but ultimately unleashes something dark within him.

Turning Red is a computer-animated fantasy comedy about a 13-year old girl named Meilin who is torn between being her mother’s obedient daughter and the chaos of her youth. To make matters worse whenever she experiences strong emotion she turns into a giant red panda.

I, like most of you watching this review, saw the trailer and decided to give it a watch. I wasn’t sure what type of emotional rollercoaster Pixar was going to put me through, but I cracked my knuckles, neck, threw my feet up, and sat back to watch the presentation.

The title of this should really be Jackie’s journey of toxic fucked-uppedness to redemption.

Wish Dragon is a computer-animated fantasy written and directed by Chris Applehans and produced by Jackie Chan. Applehans is an illustrator, production designer, and film director from Idaho. He’s best known for his children’s book illustrations and his work on Wish Dragon, City of Ember, and Coraline.

Wish Dragon is about a college student named Din who is longing to reconnect with his childhood friend LiNa. When he meets a wish-granting dragon he discovers the magic of possibilities.

If I had to compare Wish Dragon with other films I would say that it’s Aladdin meets A Christmas Carol. Confused? Well, let me explain. Our main character Din is a lower-class college teen trying to reconnect with his rich childhood best friend. He feels like he can’t get access to her unless he looks like he has money. Here is where our wish dragon comes into play. See? Aladdin. The subplot of the story deals with the Wish Dragon Long needing to find the true meaning of a good life. Kinda like how Ebeneezer Scrooge had to recount his life to find his missteps and become a good person. In Wish, Dragon Long explores Din’s life to find the things he’d been missing in his previous life.

Action Pack is a kid’s TV show about a group of kid heroes packed with superpowers that work together to stop the baddies and even bring out the good in them.

I was first introduced to this show through my kid who always ends up making me watch a new TV show every five seconds. Even though there are a lot of mediocre shows on Netflix kids (of which they have decided to dub themselves “Netflix Jr”, like Nick Jr.) I really like this one. I thought I had had enough of superheroes, but this show is really cute and a lot of fun.\

The ending I’m a little confused about, but work through this confusion with me. So Dan goes into the Other World to retrieve Melody. He gets tempted but doesn’t fall for it. Awesome-tastic I’m proud of him. He finds Melody, but she wanders off while he’s trying to find a way out and she encounters kalego. Dan grabs her and quickly makes haste for the exit. He’s not sure with the door is the right one, but before he can make a decision Samuel comes out of nowhere grabs Melody, and shoves her through the gate. When Melody falls out of the portal back to the Real World only she returns and Samuel is nowhere to be found.

If Samuel is pulling Melody through the portal shouldn’t he have returned as well? Where the hell did he go? Is he in the present as well, but in another place on earth? Did he arrive in another part of the compound? Did he run into his brother? If Samuel did come back will Virgil and his brother Samuel start more shenanigans?

Archive 81 is an American horror about a video archivist hired to restore video footage of a filmmaker investigating a dangerous cult.

The show is directed by horror master James Wan and stars Mamoudou Athie and Dina Shihabi. Mamoudou plays Dan a video archivist that is hired to restore a collection of videotapes that feature Melody (Dina Shihabi) at an apartment complex called the Visser, investigating residents and the weird things that happen there. Dan gets sucked deeper into the job when he discovers that the tapes might have the answers to what caused a deadly fire that happened at the Visser in 1994 and what happened to all the residents.

The Whole Truth is a Thai supernatural mystery thriller about two siblings that stumble upon a hole on the wall of their grandparent’s house. Horrifying incidents start to happen that slowly reveal the truth about a sinister family secret.

Pim and Patt are brother and sister that live in a Thai suburb with their mom. They are typical high schoolers with typical problems with bullies and school cheerleader politics. Their lives change when their mom is hit by a drunk driver and is sent to the hospital in critical condition. Pim and Patt’s grandparents step in to help while their mother is in the hospital. The problem is is that Pim and Patt have never met their grandparents before let alone heard about them at all. While spending time at their grandparent’s house strange things start to happen and a strange whole on their grandparent’s wall that sheds some light on a horrifying family secret.

Episodes seven and eight finish off this action-packed, emotional, and suspenseful joy ride known as My Name. 

In Episode seven Giho has all the evidence he needs to obtain an arrest warrant and book Choi Mujin who I will start affectionately calling Uncle Choi. Jiwoo didn’t complete the job to assassinate her boss Giho so he sends Taeju (who also didn’t complete the job). Uncle Choi and Taeju fear that Jiwoo knows the truth about what he did, so he orders his men AND Taeju to take her out. Here is where the roller-coaster for this series starts. We go up and down from action to suspense all episode long. Jiwoo does things that appear to be against her intentions, but we later find out that it was part of her plan all along. They end the episode on a cliffhanger when Jiwoo is caught by Pildo and put into an interrogation room. We end on him asking her what her real name is.
