- ECW runs their big "When Worlds Collide" show featuring Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton.
- Jake Roberts winning the Smoky Mountain Wrestling Heavyweight Title on TV.
- The USWA celebrating their 900th episode on WMC-TV in Memphis, and yes, there was cake.
- The MWF, with a lot of help from CMLL, runs a mediocre debut show at the newly-reopened Grand Olympic Auditorium.
- Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat tear it up on WCW Saturday Night as Flair wins what’s billed as his 12th world title.
- Rick Rude quits WCW due to his various injuries.
- Lots of “WCW, EVERYBODY!” moments.
