What Are Setbacks? Setbacks are distances that serve as a reasonable buffer between natural gas well development activity and a public or private resource (such as a building or streams, springs, wetlands and bodies of water) over the life of a well. 

What is House Bill 170? - Is a legislative attempt to expand setbacks to a distance that would literally cripple the natural gas industry in Pennsylvania while at the same time negatively impacting jobs, energy security and more for so many residents of our state.

Why Is This Important For All Pennsylvanians And All Americans To Understand? Because HB 170 is a blueprint for shutting down natural gas development in every state with such natural resources.
