• BEST Beginner Bike - Beta Xtrainer VS Honda CRF250F | Adventure Daily Podcast Ep. 2

In today's episode we talk about our most asked question:

What is the best beginner bike & how do I choose between the Beta Xtrainer and CRF250F.

Both are similar but different in a LOT of ways. Alexis has had many dirt bikes over the years on her quest to find the perfect fit and being a shorter girl she has a hard time since all of the full size bikes are way too tall. Thankfully there are a few solid options for the vertically challenged and both of these are a great fit.

The Beta is a more technical bike and out of the box comes with much better suspension, and a more capable engine that may be geared towards a rider with a bit more experience. We think if you plan on riding some more advanced trails, especially single track, that the Xtrainer is the better choice and can open up more possibilities for those trying to push their limits.

The Honda is an entry level, beginner friendly bike that anyone can hop on and ride with ease. If you are a brand new rider and have zero experience with manual transmissions, or just lack motor skills in general, this is the best bike to learn on and you will be able to get the hang of the clutch relatively quickly as it is very forgiving.

We touch briefly on the 4 stroke vs 2 stroke aspect but I encourage you to do a bit more research before you make a decision, the engines have very different characteristics but can be ridden in the same environments especially if you do a few key upgrades to the 250F as we mentioned.

I hope this answered some of your questions, and let us know what you would like to see / hear next!

  • Why We Spent Our Life Savings On Dirt Bikes..

After spending $20,000 on dirt bikes we decided it was best to sit down and explain out of all the scooters in the world why did we decide the KTM / Husqvarna 350 was best? To make a long story short our riding plans have changed quite a bit and we want to focus more on off-road. So instead of lugging around two overweight, under-sprung Honda Dual Sports, we decided it was best to sell them off and start fresh with two of the best Enduro bikes on the market!

If you had $20K to spend on two dirt bikes, what would they be?

  • The REAL Reason Why I Sold My CRF300L.. Bikes & Beer Ep. 4 // What's Next?

After owning the CRF300L for about a year, it was time to say goodbye. My riding plans have changed and I no longer need the street capabilities that the street bike engine offers. I had big Dual Sport dreams but after spending the last few months out West I realized that it just wasn't feasible at this time. So instead of dumping a bunch of money into the suspension and engine and trying to make the 300L something that it will never be, I let her go. I am sure you have a pretty good idea now on what's coming next but I needed something that matches my riding plans.

Cheers to bigger (lighter..) & better things!!
