Marc Lamont Hill Grills Black Conservative CJ Pearson on Critical Race Theory
20m | Aug 8, 2021Multiple states across the country are banning the teaching of critical race theory in schools. In a Florida state board meeting, a last-minute amendment was added to the original proposal. It spells out that critical race theory as well as the 1619 Project, are examples of theories that distort historical events and are inconsistent with the state board standards. Many attendees showed their support in protest after a member of the Northside Coalition of Jacksonville called on the board to allow teachers to teach the truth. CJ Pearson, campaign manager for Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones, joins the show to discuss the banning of critical race theory.
