YOU, Don't Know You!

Self-awareness and getting to know yourself are essential if you want to stop feeling misunderstood. Do you really know yourself? I thought I did until I realized I couldn't always explain what I needed.

I could tell you my zodiac sign, my love language, where I was from, what I did, and all the roles I played. But I couldn't always tell you what I needed to feel seen, heard and loved or why.

And most importantly, what I needed to do, experience or be, to love myself better.

For years, I found myself saying, “They don't understand me.” “He doesn't even know me.” “I don't know why I do that or feel like this."

Then I had to ask myself a harder question: Do I even know me?

In this episode of Under the Beautiful Banyan, I'm talking about self-awareness, self-discovery, feeling misunderstood, getting to know yourself beyond your titles and roles, and why other people can only know you to the degree that you know yourself.
