Five states — Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee — are launching Operation Southern Slowdown from July 13th through the 19th. Hundreds of police agencies are hitting the roads hard, looking for speeders, aggressive drivers, and distracted folks. Last year they issued over fifty-three thousand citations.
