On Wearing our Values: Sustainable and Ethical Fashion

36m | Nov 6, 2021

Are you an outfit repeater or do you not use a washing machine?

In this episode we tackle the importance of balancing people, profit and planet as a business as well as the meaning of sustainable and ethical fashion all the way from the production to distribution process.

With our guest speakers, Alyssa Lagon of Tela Manila, a homegrown sustainable fashion brand with the first certified recycled zippers in the country, and Mia Azurin of Malaya Thrift, an Instagram thrift store of curated pieces, and FASH Ateneo, a student organization which advocates for sustainability and conscious consumption, we were able to have meaningful conversations on the rising trend of thrift shopping and reasons why sustainable and ethical fashion, or rather, slow fashion, is more expensive than fast fashion.
