Come After Me (Part 1)
52m | Oct 20, 2026Come After Me: Discipleship as Walking With God
Launching the discipleship series “Come After Me,” Ps. Ryan reads Mark 1:16–20, where Jesus calls Simon, Andrew, James, and John to “Follow me,” and they immediately leave everything to follow Him. He explains that discipleship is fundamentally a daily walk with God, not legalism or doing the bare minimum, and not chasing rewards or perfection. Using Genesis 3, he highlights God’s question “Ayeka” (“Where are you?”) as an invitation back into presence, covering, and restored fellowship, emphasizing God’s initiative and grace. He contrasts a destination-focused Christianity with the journey of “mit’elech,” a collaborative walk with God marked by presence. He concludes that God prioritizes walking with Him—patiently shaping lives—more than achievement, performance, or external change.
