When Hasan Piker was raising money for the earthquake in Turkey, streamer IShowSpeed went to donate tens of thousands of dollars. He then decided not to donate the money because one of his viewers claimed that Hasan was only raising money as a scam. Now, the drive raised well over $1M, but this scenario pushes an important question into the spotlight, are influencers responsible for scams they run into? Short answer, yes, absolutely; but the other side of this answer can lead to. moments like this, people wanting to genuinely do good, but are scared to do so because of the implications of such a large sum of money.
