Lindsay Carraway studied Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. before going to SCAD in Savannah, GA., to study Metals and Jewelry. She then came home after realizing her expressions were mostly made and felt through painting, which she decided to truly commit to and become passionate about after being diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in 2009, changing her life forever.

Dreams featuring women playing out stereotypes, involving controversies, and dancing in superstitions are transformed into paintings and collages.

Her mind's elements and abstractions based on schizoaffective viewpoints and her lucid dreams are a cross between the world's terrain and the human spirit.

Her focus is on the empowerment of women through the lens of mental illness. All of her women are strong in feminine nature. “I want to express and invoke a representation of beauty and power.”
